43 - The Bryson Tiller Interview

We had another great show tonight. New artist, Bryson Tiller came by the studio for an exclusive interview with Michele. She got a chance to talk to Bryson and get a feel for how he's taking everything in from what seems to be overnight stardom. Bryson talked about what's his biggest influence as far as style and genre, and got to touch basis on the comments about him "sounding like" another artist.
As always, TheMixxUp, likes to bring our listeners relevant topics, and this week discussed how there will be one of the biggest one time releases of 6 thousand prisoners to relieve over crowding in prisons. But the crew found this to be a little jaded considering the possibility that of half of the newly released convicts might just land back in jail. What do our listeners think?

42 - The Mixx Up Show 1 Year Anniversary

Tonight we celebrated TheMixxupShow's one year anniversary, and one of our very own, Malik is celebrating a birthday tomorrow. Of course this week had the hottest topics and DJ Stevo came back again to do a live session on the show. Along with the excitement , the crew touched a little on the Pope's visit to the US. Of course it was a very big accomplishment for the US, but Leek posed great question as to if his visit was commercialized or not. Speaking of Leek, he also talked about his effort to break the Internet tomorrow with his #EAT movement on social media. There was much love today on the show! TheMixxUp has come such a long way, and is hoping to continue to grow professionally and grow with its fan base. We appreciate all of the love and support, and hope to be around for many more years to come.

Next we'll be streaming live with Teej from Howard's Yard Fest, so definitely make sure you tune in. Don't forget to follow us on IG and Twitter @mixxupshow !

    Show #40

TheMixxUpShow is back again from our slight break we had last Thursday. This week we went over the senseless violence that is taking over our city in DC, "The State of DC: Violence." There has been 109 deaths in DC alone just this summer. That number is record breaking compared to previous statics concerning deaths in the city. So now the question is, "What needs to be done to stop these horrible crimes?" Do we need more jobs, more activities for the youth, or is it a parenting issue? Either way, we're losing a lot of beautiful souls, and something needs to be done fast.

Visto has performed all over the country including cities like Atlanta, Philly, New York, and of course his home town, DC.
