Fidel’s Cocina and Bar… Tacos and Margaritas on the Patio, please!

Fidel’s Cocina and Bar… Tacos and Margaritas on the Patio, please!

Located at the old location of the Palisade Cafe, Fidel’s Cocina and Bar is the new spot to be at. Jeff Snook and Jody Corey with help from their dog, Fidel, started this place with two things in mind, energy and flavor. Tacos and margaritas on the patio are just an added bonus. Whether it is their spicy cucumber margarita or a plate of their poblano fries, you are in store for quite an experience at Fidel’s. They also offer an array of tacos, greens, and an impressive stable of spirits at their cozy bar.

In the video below Jeff and Jody tell us how Fidel’s started and what it takes to run a restaurant in a day and age of skyrocketing inflation, labor shortages and food costs that are through the roof. Chef James Doxon from Vibe Concepts joins the discussion to add how his Denver based restaurant group is handling these very same issues.

The Chefs, The Road Trip, The Grand Valley, The Modern Eater Show is Back

Check out our episode of The Modern Eater Show from The Salty Crab Bar and Grill in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

We spoke to our chef friends Zuri Resendiz, Jeff Gebott, and James Doxon about our first day of the 5th annual road trip.

We previewed our stop in Minturn at Helen’s House where chef Lauren Ridout of Slapped Wood Fired Pizza made us some perfect vegan dishes. From Minturn, we were in downtown Grand Junction with Cooper and Mary Hall of The Hog and The Hen. There were plenty of laughs and pictures along the way. We continued on to Clark and Co.’s Distilling with Chris and Mackenzie Schmalz showing us the ropes.

We end the show with a quick tour around the beach behind The Salty Crab. Stop in when you come down here.

Beachside at The Salty Crab... Erin Boyle, Chef Mark Henry, and Florida Unplugged

The Modern Eater Show is back from the Salty Crab Bar & Grill in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

We started the show with a look at some of our finer moments in Florida from the views to the amazing food and beverages we’ve had up and down the coast.

There was one story that we had to get into regarding ‘restaurant etiquette.

Erin Boyle, Executive Director of CHOW (Culinary Hospitality Outreach and Wellness) came on to discuss the mission and how mental health is important to the entire industry. We share back and forth and let the industry know where and how to seek help when needed.

Chef Mark Henry from Roosters House of Ramen in Colorado Springs hops on and gives us a quick rundown from the Shamrock Food Show as well as some new insights into vegan lifestyle and cooking. We are booking our trip south to go see him in action at Roosters House of Ramen.
