Through conversations with worship leaders from around the country (well actually the world) we will talk about how worship impacts our lives personally, how we engage in worship communally, and how both shape our faith. We believe these conversations will be formative for this community and hope you will take the time to lean all the way in and grow with us along the journey. 
I am so excited to introduce the Mosaic Life community to Layla (Li-la) de la Garza. Layla comes to us from Monterrey, Mexico and while our heart languages are different the Spirit crosses all languages and connects hearts. Today we are going to talk about more than worship and we are honored to hear Layla’s story— I am grateful for how the conversation brings us right into the truth about faith, life, and worship. More about Layla de la Garza:
Layla (Li-la) was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, where she lives with her husband Diego, and their crazy miracle boy, Leonardo. 
They planted a church called VIDAIN, where she currently serves in the Creative and Communications Team, and leading Worship for their campuses in Monterrey, Saltillo, Mexico City, and Venezuela. 
Layla loves to write and illustrate her everyday experiences with God on her blog in Spanish - @NotasConDios, and shares these experiences on her Podcast  ̈ Notas con Dios¨, a space created to inspire women to follow Jesus. 
She creates devotionals in Spanish that you can find on the YouVersion Bible App, and also other free resources that can be found in her website notascondios.com to help us grow in our relationship with Jesus. 
She loves drinking a good cup of coffee with churros, and eating carne asada and quesadillas with friends and family!

More about Sócrates Pérez:
Socrates Perez lives in Orlando, FL with his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Cora (11) and Miles (8). He has been in full-time ministry for over 15 years, and currently serves as the Worship Pastor at Horizon West Church, where he develops Sunday worship services, disciples volunteer ministry teams, and preaches throughout the year. Prior to moving back to his hometown, Socrates served at Saddleback Church for 8 years.  
Raised in Orlando by immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic, Socrates has been blessed with a strong foundation in Jesus and the church, along with opportunities to see the Christian faith lived out in various cultural expressions. Today, he is passionate about seeing the Church embrace the fullness of Jesus’ gospel for the world by reflecting the uniqueness of the multicultural body of Christ, bringing hope and restoration in response to the suffering and brokenness in the world.

Cheryl has spent the majority of her life in vocational ministry as a leader, pastor, and ministry director. With over 40 years of leadership experience, Cheryl’s heart is to see individuals healed and whole, fully prepared to walk in the purpose God has for their lives. Cheryl believes that helping others experience healing is what God intends for her to do for the rest of her life.

Well friends, Susan Seay is here to teach us today. First of all, she did not stutter at all when she said of her husband, I love that man. Susan and her husband have seven children, so I would say Susan is here to mother us today. Susan is a gap filler in the world of mentoring moms. When I asked her about resilience, she said resilience is not quitting in the Gap. You will be encouraged as she unpacks this concept.
