The Four Things I Said I'd NEVER Do As a New Parent

Before becoming a parent, everyone has a mental list of what activities or practices they will NEVER do with their baby. The truth? I do almost ALL of them. Tune in to hear me confess my top four "things."

A note: New parenthood and full-time work keeps this part-time podcaster busy! I recorded this episode from an airplane. Please forgive the less-than-ideal audio.

Excellent

Short and concise, no rambling on about things. Didn’t feel like I was listening to an expert, just a friendly voice going through new parenting. As an expectant dad I love it.

Not just for new parents

I’m not a new parent anymore but I very much enjoy listening to Natalie’s take on the experience. It’s been a few years since we’ve had an infant and I find myself laughing out loud as I remember similar experiences with my own children. As I get ready to have another baby, it’s also a nice reminder of some of the things I haven’t had to think about in a while.

She’s very real about the challenges as well as the joy without being preachy or judgmental and I love that. I wish I would have had something like this to listen to when I WAS a brand new parent to make things seem less overwhelming and let me know I wasn’t alone in my experiences.

It’s also REALLY nice that each episode is short enough that I can actually pay attention without getting too distracted or having to stop and restart; listening to long podcasts is extremely difficult (sometimes impossible) with small children running around.
