Live From The Pandemic: JORDAN FISHER

Welcome to the miniseries, The Producer's Perspective LIVE! From The Pandemic.
Inspired by my podcast and check-ins with friends, I started The Producer’s Perspective LIVE! I started going live every night at 8pm with a superstar TheaterMaker to check in with them and see how they were doing and how this pandemic has affected them.
Many shared how they’ve been keeping those creative juices flowing, sharing many fun memories, raising money and awareness for The Actors Fund and other charitable organizations needing our support. We even started sharing ‘something to make you smile’ by featuring a new music video one of you in the community produced, directed, wrote, performed in!
In this episode, super star JORDAN FISHER ended his 8-hour day of streaming on Twitch to join my livestream!! Having only met once in an audition, I was excited to sit down with him and talk about the current state of the industry. What I did not expect was to learn so much about TWITCH and the world of streaming for gamers.

Interesting,Informative Interviews

I’m a huge fan of musicals and love hearing Ken interview so many different people in the business. I randomly choose a podcast and find each one I’ve listened to more informative than I anticipate. Hearing the stories told from such a variety of people is fascinating and promotes podbinging!!

The Best Broadway Podcast

Ken Davenport’s show is everything I was looking for in a theatre podcast. It provides business insight that makes it a must for theatre professionals of every discipline. Ken is a great host, letting his guests have the spotlight and share their experience and wisdom without to much interference or unnecessary commentary. The result is a great show that can benefit everyone who makes their living doing live theatre.

Great content, spotty audio quality

I love the insights and guests Ken gets on the show. Some of the best content related to Theatre making and producing on the internet. He really knows how to get into the nooks and crannies of the business without feeling too wonky. He brings out incredible stories and perspectives from some of the most important folks in the business. However, it seems like more than half the interviews are conducted over Skype or a phone line, so the audio quality of many of the episodes is really bad. It's often impossible to listen to - especially if you are listening on the go in a noisy city. It often sounds like he's interviewing his guests from the bottom of the ocean. I wish he'd do all the interviews live with a mic to get the best sound.
