As we near the Christmas season, we will begin a brief, new four-part Christmas sermon series called Born to Die. In this series, the messages will be based on Scriptures from Isaiah 53.

Of course, Christians understand the suffering servant from this passage is Jesus Christ, who "bore the sin of many" (v. 12). Jesus once declared, "The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45). As we celebrate Christmas once again, we need to remember why Jesus was born. He was born to die.
