    John Barnes

    John Barnes

The latest episode of the Robbie Fowler Podcast sees a man who terrorised defences back in the 80s and 90s, first with Watford and then Liverpool and England join Robbie and Chris. He wasn’t a bad rapper either. It’s John Barnes.
Over the course of an hour, Barnes opens up on the influence the late Graham Taylor had on his career, his regrets – or lack thereof – how his move to Anfield was a culture shock in more ways than one and what REALLY happened during his ill-fated eight months in charge of Celtic Football Club.

Get rid of the *bleeps*

I love the pod, and I tune in for every episode. But GET RID OF THE BLEEPS! If you listen to Robbie Fowler you should know what you’re getting. You’re gonna hear a few naughty words, it’s not the end of the world.

Not Quite the Peter Crouch Pod but Still Solid

Robbie’s always been a bit of an arse, but it’s good to listen to his insights and to the great guests he has access to. Huge fan of his ability on the field, but less so of his behavior off. Hoping this pod gives me more access to understanding him as he was someone I tried to model my game off of when I was growing up playing

Coach Sarah Brady ,

Great fella. Great guests. Great laugh.

What a fella Robbie is. Could claim the highest and mightiest of thrones...he’s referred to as ‘GOD’ after all, but instead he’s just a cheeky normal lad from L8.

Not many can be both superstar yet touchable. His accessibility, his relatability, his humor...Liverpool Legend. Beloved Son of the City. All round great fella.

Made up with this Robbie. Enjoy it yourself as much as we do.
