Ep 24: Baptismal Invitation w/ Kristen Daley Mosier

On episode twenty-three, I'm talking to Susan Cho Van Riesen about her experience as a female lead pastor, Asian American ethnic and cultural concerns, and much more!
About Kristen: Kristen Daley Mosier completed her M.Div. at Fuller Seminary Northwest (Seattle) in 2012, and holds a B.A. in Art History from Western Washington University. Based in the Pacific Northwest, her research interests explore intersections of creation, spirit, materiality, and place. She is particularly interested in developing a theology of water that connects persons, places, and the experience of baptism through the life of the Holy Spirit. Kristen lives in the Seattle area with her spouse, with whom she serves the community of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, located on Duwamish land in the Cedar River watershed.

Ep 19: Lament & Social Justice w/ Reese Hogg III

On episode nineteen I'm talking with my new friend Reese Hogg III. Reese and I have been connected through social media for awhile and finally had a chance to sit down and have a conversation. In addition to hearing Reese share his thoughts on social justice, church, and worship, he shared how lament and grief, after the murder of his son, has been a space for encountering God and learning about worship. I was unaware of this aspect of Reese's life and I'm still processing all that I have learned from him from this conversation.

Fresh and Insightful

The Sacramental Charismatic is a must listen for anyone looking for theological discussions that don’t fit the mold. Luke Geraty and his guests bring a fresh perspective that connects ancient faith and practices with current events and challenges. You would do well to make listening a regular part of your podcast journey.

Such a good listen.

I have loved every episode of this podcast! Seems rare to find solid theological content that feels like a breath of fresh air and an invitation to know more of God’s heart—but this one is certainly both. I loved sacramental theology already, but in listening here have had new life breathed into many of those leanings and ideas. A gift to me! Thanks Luke.

Love this podcast!

Loving this podcast so far! Incredibly thought provoking as Luke discusses theology and practice and the different intersections between charismatic and the sacrament. As a charismatic who didn’t grow up with a robust understanding of sacrament, this podcast is a beautiful new learning curve for me and I’m loving it!
