The Skinny Girl Speaks with Gella Rampersad
URBAN LEGEND IN THE CHURCH An urban legend, much like a myth, is a story that circulates as truth but no one really knows if it is. This episode is about an urban legend that’s spoken of in churches but I’m not sure if we’ve ever really seen much of any - 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒄 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔. I mean REAL ones.
If we are brothers and sisters in Christ, why do we typically view each other as potential hook ups or spouses? Are there 𝒂𝒏𝒚 safe relationships between single men and women where we love as Kingdom siblings? We’ll explore this topic with a guest who says she has a real platonic relationship. Listen to hear what it looks like and the benefits of such. The goal is to raise awareness and encourage the creation of Godly environments that foster healthy relationships between men and women.

Give God Your Yes
Ever thought about what your life would look like if you said YES to whatever God asked of you? Look at where it got Mary? For our sake, I’m glad she did. But what about you?

Bless This Mess??
How often have you seen this phrase? Lord, bless this mess...that I’ve made. Well, there are times when He’s saying clean it up & therein is your blessing! Literal clutter can be a hindrance to your moving forward. This episode will give Biblical insight and bring clarity to the psychology of clutter.

Actively Developing Your Racial Identity
There’s a lot going on in our world around race right now. And I gotta tell you it’s disturbing. In the past I wasn’t bothered as much but this time it hit me a bit differently. In this episode I share my introduction to developing my own racial identity & where my Christianity fits. While working through it, I realized that there are probably others like me who didn’t even realize there was a path to frame this kind of internal development. Get your journals ready because I think you’re gonna want to take notes on this one.

The Racial Identity Episode
I usually get me a cup of herbal tea and breakfast or snack while listening but today was different. When I heard were the topic was going I stopped sat down a took notes!!! This was very informative. It caused me to look at myself and do some introspection. I and not fully sure where I am in the stages, it’s seems as though I float through them all. However, I am really working more on Integrated Awareness in my Heart, because as a Christian First that’s were my heart is healed. However dealing with my personal pain is were I float in between the stages... this is something to think about. I really need to Ask God myself, Lord Why did you make me black???
Authentic & Relevant
I absolutely love it. I appreciate your authenticity about your life experiences and providing sound encouragement and advice. I will continue to listen!
Thanks!
Thanks for opening up and allowing others to see who you were, are and are becoming. It takes much courage to be transparent in days and times such as we live in.
Continue on your quest and search for those things God has revealed. Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6 Keep doing, going, searching. I stand with you to encourage you as you are encouraged.
