Episode 22: Normalize Black Gun Ownership

Episode 22: Normalize Black Gun Ownership

This is the year I actually expressed my second Amendment rights and it was scary as hell.

If you would've told me that I would be a proud gun owner ten years ago, I may have looked you in the face and started laughing and then went on about my business. I don't think I've ever been adamant about owning a gun, but I have always been of the school of thought that you should always be prepared to defend yourself.

I have a candid conversation with my Hubby about the importance of protecting yourself and your family and why we need to normalize Black gun ownership. I share my thoughts on buying my first gun and how you can prepare yourself to get your first one.

The dagger we spoke about in this episode is a tactical hidden blade. Check it out here: https://amzn.to/36Y8e5x

Episode 21: Flying Financially Free with Cinneah El Amin of Flynanced

Episode 21: Flying Financially Free with Cinneah El Amin of Flynanced

I take a moment to have a conversation with Cinneah El Amin of Flynanced where she tells me how she was able to eliminate $23,000 worth of debt in a year!

Cinneah is the creator and voice behind Flynanced.com. Since traveling to 27 countries and counting, she created Flynanced to inspire others to fly financially free, which means seeing more of the world with less debt and less financial worry. In 2020, Cinneah is on a journey to become debt free and pay off over $23,000 by December. Cinneah knows a thing or two about the consumer credit industry, having spent her career working for top credit card companies in product management and product development. She holds degrees from Barnard College and Wake Forest University School of Business. When Cinneah is not planning her next trip or writing for her blog, she's probably listening to Beyonce or discovering the next best taco spot in NYC.

Connect with Cinneah on her website www.flynanced.com and follow her on Instagram @fly.nanced.

Episode 20: Start that Sh*t - A Podcast Collaboration with the She Looks Like Me Podcast

On this episode of The Soa Inspired Podcast, I collaborate with Simone Harvin of the She Looks Like Me Podcast. On this episode, I'm interviewed by my good friend and client Simone Harvin, We're encouraging you to start that thing you can't stop thinking about or the idea that keeps you up at night. We talk about the importance of starting projects fueled by the things you're passionate about and sharing actionable habits you can incorporate into your routine to position yourself for success.

This episode is for you if:

    - You've been wanting to start something but the idea is so overwhelming or unfamiliar that you've struggled to get going

    - Self-doubt or perfectionism is keeping you from moving forward

    - You could use a new healthy habit or two to help you get sh*t done

    It won't be easy.

You may feel alone, vulnerable, or ill-equipped at times.

There will be people in your life who will stand quietly on the sidelines and strangers that come out of nowhere helping you in ways you can't imagine.

    Start that -ish anyway.
