The Neurotheological Path to Enlightenment: How God's Thoughts can Change us

The Neurotheological Path to Enlightenment: How God's Thoughts can Change us

Join Anthony & Nathan as they dive into the wonder of God's love on The Somatic Gospel Podcast! He's inspired by a powerful quote from Psalm 139 that reminds us that God's thoughts towards us are more abundant than the grains of sand on earth. With a mind-blowing estimate of counting one thought per second, it would take 32 trillion years to count all of God's love for just one person! But despite the human brain's capability to process 70,000 thoughts a day, theologians still haven't come close to understanding the depths of God's thoughts.
That's why God chose to reveal himself to us through Jesus Christ, instead of leaving us to try and figure him out. The Bible asks, "what is man that God should be mindful of him?" And with a world population of 8 billion, it's impossible to calculate the sum of God's love and thoughts towards every person. So come along and marvel at the incredible love of our Almighty God!

    The Transformative Power of Anger

    The Transformative Power of Anger

In this episode We discuss our belief that anger is not bad and is actually welcomed as it reveals narratives that we have been subjected to and limited by. We believe that anger reveals that when we mature from utilizing a new perspective, we actually do have access to willpower and that's the whole point of the anger is to reveal that.
When we experience the emotion of anger, we notice it and ask ourselves the question "What is it that we're valuing and what is it that's out of integrity here in our life with those values?" We think that when we resist the fact that we are experiencing anger, we become more angry rather than just saying, "Okay, what's out of integrity and, what can we choose that will get us back in alignment with what we say we desire or what is here?"
We discuss that when one matures the emotion, it reveals the true perception that the external is a side effect, but the cause of their feeling begins within, and they suggest taking ownership of their internal state of being, versus living in reference to an external thing and saying how they should feel and live.
