The film covers the events that took place on May 5th, 1991, as people took to the streets of Washington D.C.’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood to protest the police shooting of Daniel Gomez, a young man from El Salvador. 

    Cindy is a social justice-minded filmmaker, photographer, and media producer specializing in documentary + non-profit video storytelling. As a daughter of Salvadoran immigrants and a first-generation American, her work is dedicated to ethically supporting and amplifying the voices + stories of people, communities, and realities that are marginalized + oppressed.
