soul+full - Dillon Pakele
aloha and welcome to soul + full.
this project, in collaboration with Hawai‘i filmmaker/creative entrepreneur Teves Freitas, takes a deeper look at the stories of some awesome people.
we wanted to kick this project off with Dillon Pakele. a rising star in island, reggae music, this singer/songwriter from Hawai‘i has a powerful story to share, one that resonates deeply for me.
on may 25, 2020, Dillon's father, the legendary artist Kaulana Pakele, passed away at the age of 47.
how DIllon has navigated the challenge of losing his father, is something that's truly inspirational. it's a testament to his Mom, his Dad, his ‘ohana and how they taught him to give ALOHA freely.
mahalo to Dillon and his Mom(ager), Lisa Pakele, for allowing us this peak into his life and Teves for his partnership in bringing this project forth - jmaw

ep. 12 - on hip-hop w/ teves freitas related to k.dot vs bbl drizzy
in this very special episode, we reconnect with local filmmaker and emcee Teves Freitas to discuss the very public rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. in what began like most rap battles with shots fired, this has quickly escalated to possibly an extinction level event for the career of Drake.
soul sit back, relax, and enjoy the conversation.
