Author, Psychologist, & Spiritual Teacher Ernie Vecchio shares insights about the New Wisdom on Human Suffering

Why the soul asks us to close our eyes to see

Why the soul asks us to close our eyes to see

We hear all the time that some of life's greatest lessons are hiding in plain sight. You can see as a spiritual being when you close your eyes and try to see with something else. This is the vision of the human heart. It’s a perspective that allows us to feel our way through something versus grope in the dark. The ego automatically thinks it needs to have some sort of intellectual engagement with life. Is life right or wrong, fair or unfair. Meanwhile, the heart is simply looking for true and false.

Emoting to Feeling | Revolution to Evolution

Emoting to Feeling | Revolution to Evolution

We witnessed this past weekend what happens when the human spirit provokes us into passion and purpose. During the peaceful demonstration of healing and saying 'enough is enough' many are realizing (some for the first time) that this is what it means to have an inner life. *It was/is a spiritual moment! (*Though my cohost Irma Francis sounds telephonic in this recording the content was too good not to post.)

A Gem of a Conversation: Suffering Does Not Equal Victimazation

A Gem of a Conversation: Suffering Does Not Equal Victimazation

There is no bigger confusion in our culture than the difference between a spiritual and psychological wound. In fact, there is a tendency to merge the two as if they are the same. A spiritual wound is an event that happens outside of time that impacts your relationship with the source, God, or Universe. A psychological wound happens in real time and affects the relationship you're having with yourself and others. This means human suffering occurs in two ways: (1) separation from the source and (2) divided against ourselves and others. One is the human condition the other is something that happens to us. In this way, suffering does not equal victimazation.

To See Inside the Ego Must Re-enact On the Outside

To See Inside the Ego Must Re-enact On the Outside

The soul orchestrates life for us to see on the outside what is happening internally. It turns out, this is the only way the ego can see to change. Most think it is the other way around. If I can just get my life in order 'out here' everything will fall in place on the inside.  Few reaize it is an inside-out process to evolve, not the reverse.

The Soul's Reality Is Much Different Than What The Ego is Living

The Soul's Reality Is Much Different Than What The Ego is Living

From the soul's perspective you are whole and more than enough. Its only desire is to BE in this moment fully without restriction. The ego is more concerned about whether it is deserving, worthy, or normal. You can see that in one reality you are free to love and exude authenticity. In the other, you are suffering for no apparent reason except guilt or shame. Which reality is true and which is false? The soul knows the answer.

The Ego is Clay Until It Becomes Hardened Ceramic

The Ego is Clay Until It Becomes Hardened Ceramic

When we are born there is a sense that we are a clean slate. Not much unlike a piece of clay that can be shaped and formed by its experience. Few remember that the contents of this vessel that is us is our essence- the soul. Psychology calls this container personality. People think it is who they are. This works until the container is cracked then everything that we thought we were is spilled out onto the ground. What are we to do? First, if the pottery wheel is life then we are both the potter and the pot.
