Joining us on THE SPARKK SHOW, a baseball interview podcast this week is Outfielder Austin Jackson. He Played 14 years professionally. Nine of those years in the MLB for the Tigers, Mariners, Cubs, White Sox, Indians, Giants and Mets. Drafted in 2005 by the New York Yankees in the 8th Round out of Billy Ryan HS in Denton, Texas. The fleet footed Jackson covered some of the biggest outfields in the Major Leagues and did it with an endless skill set and the utmost class.

I’m humbled to bring on someone who I got to watch work every single day and was able to learn so much about what it means to be a pro. I am excited that A Jax gets to come on and share some of the knowledge that helped SPARKK me every single day.

This week on THE SPARKK SHOW, sports interview podcast, we have our first pitcher from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: Andrew Heaney. Entering his 7th MLB Season, the smooth lefty was drafted in 2012 by the Miami Marlins in the 1st Round out of Oklahoma State University. He rose through the minor leagues with relentless focus and a tireless work ethic and that's why he was named the 2020 Opening Day starter.

What I admire most about “Heandog” is he quiet demeanor while at the same time out working almost anyone in the room. A master of his craft he is constantly trying to learn about who he is as a pitcher and as a man. He deserves everything that he has earned and he will be the first to let you know success has to be earned.

Next up on THE SPARKK SHOW, baseball interview podcast, we are talking ball with Dave Magadan, the current hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies. Before his 16-year coaching career began, the HOF Alabama product played 16 years in the big leagues. The on-base machine still sits second on the New York Mets’ all time list at .391. Mags played for six other teams (Marlins, Mariners, Cubs, Astros, Padres and A’s) and was SPARKKed by some of the best to play in his generation. What I enjoy most about Mags is his calm delivery of information. He is a baseball lifer and has helped ball players for the past three decades. His knowledge has helped players like Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Adrian Beltre, Prince Fielder and and continues to help current MLB stars Nolan Arenado, Charlie Blackmon and Trevor Story. I am just humbled to have had his knowledge impact my game personally.

Trevor Story is batting second on THE SPARKK SHOW. Before he was a 2-time All Star and 2-time Silver Slugger, he was just a nervous, toe-tapping rookie who ended up breaking MLB records his first week in the show. What I enjoyed most interviewing Trevor Story is his unapologetic approach to being the best player he can be, his passion for learning the game and respecting those that have come before him. He’s a great player to watch and he is a humble superstar.

Entering my sixth straight year grinding through the minor leagues, I finally got the call. I spent the next four years playing on four different Major League teams, the ultimate journeyman. But in that experience, I got to play with and against some of the best baseball players to ever take the field and learned from some of the grittiest coaches with the greatest stories. And I want to take what I've learned, and what they all have taught me, and share it with the next generation.
