To Hallow God's name means God has a personal name and how we use it matters.

To know the God Jesus reveals to us is to know as our Father.

Prayer is not a magic formula; it is a mystery that draws us into the story that God is doing in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

While we live in a disenchanted world, we long for transcendence in our lives. Prayer opens our imaginations to God's activity in his creation and in our lives. Psalm 23 invites God's presence in our lives as a Shepherd, one who is with us, whether green pastures, valleys of death, or at home.

While Psalm 1 focused our attention and imaginations on God, the purpose of Psalm 2 is to invite us to the largeness, and to rehabilitate our intimidated imaginations so that we can see God as work in our lives and in his creation again.

We live in an immanent world, where we seek transcendence though the things we can experience through our five senses. But God waits patiently for our imaginations to be tuned to him in prayer. Psalm 1 gives us the entrance into life with God, but also entrances our imaginations for what he is doing in our lives.
