The Tempest Pod Save Your Soul

This podcast has cleared my skin, reunited me with my estranged wife and kids, reduced humanity’s carbon footprint, and single-handedly refroze the polar ice caps. It’s truly amazing what these fine gentleman can accomplish in roughly an hour.

No but in all seriousness if you’re just getting into politics and don’t know where to start, if you’ve got a degree in political science, or if you’re just bored and curious, this is the podcast for you. I can not praise it enough. I have genuinely learned so much through listening, and I’ve learned in a way that doesn’t intimidate me or make me feel stupid but makes me want to actively learn more. A couple of intelligent gentlemen who are passionate about the topic, and it comes through in the way they speak on it. And sometimes they’re even a little funny!

I’ve only come onto the political scene in the last few months and I’ve been trying to be as pragmatic and hopeful as I can but I can’t help to feel this wave of doomerism and blackballing that looms behind me. I believe in left wing ideas and want to see this country progress, but logging on to Twitter and seeing real left wing policies getting large support and then facing the reality of “Brooklyn_Defiant, Sorry Sweaty, #KHive #YesSheCan Neoliberals” dominate the non-online talking space has left me in a pit of despair and a even at times a visceral reaction to calling for the violent seizure of the means of production at the expense of Gulaging every liberal in sight. I’ve been recently coping with this reality by watching leftist content creators but I had never found one who meets my level of understanding and reasoning. That was until I found The Tempest podcast, one of which I had the idea that it would be as great as it is because of the friendship that I have with the co-host Sam. The dynamic duo of Sam blackpilling me with the same revolutionary mentality that we have that we both ultimately know neither we nor the majority of the American people will ever achieve in our lifetimes along with the clear optimistic outlook of Jack and his more pragmatic approach to how politics is working around us really has been a comforting experience while we continue to suffer from the pangs of late stage capitalism and the never ending death spiral that it brings. The Tempest brings another fresh outlook to the ever growing realm of podcasts that will quell any lefty’s (or even an open minded right winger’s) thirst for politically focused podcasts along with offering a few laughs and positive viewpoints to embrace and enjoy.
