A Wild Card NFL weekend with interesting back stories

After an 18-week regular season that was filled with quarterback injuries galore and some very surprising results, the field has been whittled down to 14 teams as the NFL playoffs kick off on Saturday afternoon. My former co-worker at The Franchise, Chisholm Holland, joins me to discuss the matchups this week, including what teams might be sleepers and what might trip up some of the favorites.

Memories of OU’s last win at Allen Fieldhouse w/ Terry Evans

Memories of OU’s last win at Allen Fieldhouse w/ Terry Evans

This weekend, the Oklahoma Sooners will travel to Lawrence to take on the Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse. It’s a place that’s been a house of horrors for Sooners fans for 31 years now. The last time Oklahoma won there was in 1993, when a senior point guard by the name of Terry Evans hit five three-pointers and scored 26 points to lead Oklahoma to an 80-77 victory. In the latest episode of The Todd Pod, Terry Evans joins me to talk about that 1992-93 team, and that fateful night in Lawrence, Kansas.

Todd Squad

Todd is so incredibly talented and asks really interesting questions during his interviews. He’s fun and really enjoys his job and it shows. I love his play by play action for UCO and appreciate his dedication to non-mainstream sports. In my humble (and somewhat biased opinion) he’s five star!

Todd POD!!

So excited to have Todd podcasting!! I have listened to this Luther fella for 15+ years on local radio. He is a great listen covering sport. Kind, funny, and knowledgeable of many topics including football, soccer, etc. Can't wait to see what he does with this opportunity to finally cover all the things he has interest in. He fan boys Packers, Man City, Cardinals, UCO 'chos, and the Luther Lions! Though I've not meet him in person I feel like I know him and listened to him grow up and become an all around great dude that I would enjoy a pint with.
