Am I allowed to cry?
Grief isn't linear, and neither is our progression through the Tortured Poets playlists on Apple Music! Mallory and Justine are following up Taylor's denial playlist, "I love you, it's ruining my life" by going t**s deep into bargaining.
Justine actually made notes in advance of this episode, Mallory shares which songs used to be skips - but aren't anymore! - and we talked much longer than we meant to... we're not sorry.
From mental illness and defence mechanisms to overfunctioning and boundary setting, this conversation covers a lot of ground.
Get ready to go deep into what we consider some of the most underrated, vulnerable, and devastating songs in Taylor's discography. (hello, peace *WEEPING*)
And to be clear: You ARE allowed to cry. -
I love you, it's ruining my life
Mallory and Justine are back at it with another week of TTPP!
This week, we're dabbling in Taylor news, then diving into the first of five curated playlists on Apple Music (care of Ms Swift herself!)
We're kicking things off with: I love you, it's ruining my life -- a playlist about denial and ignoring red flags.
We didn't have time to walk through every song, but we did touch on a few standouts, talked song origin speculations, and wandered down every conversational tangent that presented itself.
Enjoy! -
WWTD, ADHD, WTF (oh my!)
Get ready Tortured Poets because there is a LOT happening in this episode -- and even more we didn't get to.
Mallory and Justine have reality TV aspirations in The Circle, and try to make a case for themselves but end up getting distracted by making friendship bracelets, feeling stupid about shit they did as kids, and of course, working Taylor into the convo along the way.
Listen in for our perpetual chaos, and let those Circle peeps know that we would be entertaining AF.

All roads lead to Taylor (even the ones down memory lane)
What do Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake have in common -- and how do they relate to spiritual trauma, healing our inner child, and parasocial relationships? Listen in to find out!
We're talking about possible track lengths for The Tortured Poets Department (especially a certain track 5 👀), whether we can morally separate the artist from the art, and things that connect us to each other.
We're interrupted by kids and distracted by dogs, but do our best to close the open conversation loops and talk about all the things we definitely did not plan in advance... because that's how we roll.

Our desperation for reputation and other Taylor tangents
The Eras film is coming out on streaming services this week, Justine is planning a charcutayrie board to celebrate, and Mallory is talking about how Taylor helped to heal her inner child... plus she made up a new word. Obasive? (Blame the migraine.)
We literally just recorded this episode and already forget all the things that were said -- but we for sure talk about Taylor Swift (duh), our relationship with the Reputation era, expressing female power, and... other stuff probably.
As per always, listen at your own risk -- and if you like what you hear, give us a follow/like/review/whatever shows the algorithm you're into it!
(If you don't like what you hear, skip all of that.)

Feeling Feelings and TTPD Variants
Welcome to episode two of the TTPP! In this episode, Mallory and Justine talk about three things:
- Scott Swift allegedly assaulting paps
- Travis Kelce having big feelings at the SuperBowl
- Taylor Swift releasing more variants of TTPD than COVID
We're off our ADHD meds and all over the place today. ENJOY!
