The Two Stripes Podcast covers all things college football. Join host Colton Denning as he interviews people from around the country, and tries to make sense of this wonderful and dumb sport that we all love.
So what? (8/4/2022)
Colton does the one thing he swore he'd never do and talks about expansion and re-alignment. He talks about people around the sport saying the CFB we grew up with is "dead," why it's time to create and new traditions, and why he's embracing the future of college football.
The Podcast is back! (7/28/22)
Colton is back with a new season of the Two Stripes podcast! He kicks it off with the plans for the show this year, then gets into Ryan Day's comments at Big Ten Media Day, Ohio State's lack of leadership last season, not talking about the defense until after the Notre Dame game, the CFBPA story, and a question about whether someone like Apple or Amazon could get involved in conference re-alignment.
Scarlet and Gray Stripes: Post-Spring Ohio State thoughts (4/22/22)
Colton gives his takeaways from Ohio State's Spring Game, and the overall vibe of the program heading into the 2022 season, but leads off with the legacy of Dwayne Haskins, and his impact on Ohio State (3:13). He talks about why the most important thing coming out of Spring is the defense looking like they know what they're doing (13:58), and has some thoughts about the D-Line (15:53), no thoughts on the linebackers (17:53), and the importance of Tanner McCalister in the secondary (19:03). He also wonders what the offensive line depth will look like in a month or two (22:08), why he's so high on the running backs (25:23), and how 2022 Ohio State already feels different from the 2021 version (30:43).
Scarlet and Gray Stripes: Fair Game (4/5/2022)
Colton records an impromptu pod about Bryson Shaw's decision to enter the transfer portal, criticizing players fairly, and the direction of Ohio State's defense in 2022.
He talks about Shaw's decision making sense thanks to safety depth (6:02), why the problem with Shaw was never really about Shaw (12:12), and why the move is good for him, the team, and the fanbase (14:12). Colton also gives his thoughts on fairly criticizing players without making it personal (18:42), and people forgetting that you can be critical, while still rooting for players/the team to succeed (28:52). Lastly, he discusses Ryan Day realizing this year's defense had to be different (39:20), players admitting complacency in 2021 (42:52), how Jim Knowles is already making his mark (44:32), and how soon we'll see any other transfers (48:12)

-Thoughts on watching a G5 program put on this type of event and more (19:00)
Spring Check-In (3/24/2022)
Colton takes a look at the CFB coaching landscape across the country as Spring Practice is underway for most teams, but first introduces his new show on YouTube (1:32). He looks back at the wild 2022 coaching cycle (4:58), talks about the hires he thinks are going to be home runs, including Joey McGuire at Texas Tech (8:30), Timmy Chang at Hawaii (11:07), Jay Norvell at Colorado State (14:00), and Joe Moorhead at Akron (17:42). Then he wonders if Kalen Deboer might have a big year one at Washington (19:42), how Sonny Dyke and Mike Elko replace legenda at TCU and Duke (21:37), what the Virginia schools do next, and why CFB needs Virginia Tech to rebound (23:12). Finally, he talks about the small-time hires that could go hilariously wrong, Jim Mora Jr. at UConn (25:00).
Colton has some great out of box takes on football and the Buckeyes. Also great taste in hip hop albums
