    Ep. 123 – Zeno Robinson

    Ep. 123 – Zeno Robinson

So much flap talk. So so much.

Zeno Robinson breaks our recent streak of anime actors from Texas, in that he's an anime actor from Los Angeles! Granted he's not just in animes, even if those animes (is the plural of anime animes?) are such mega hits like My Hero Academia and Fire Force. I mean, he's not just superheros! He's also The Green Poncho, which is, um, semi-super? Well what about Heatblast? He's an alien, which isn't technically a superhero? Ok, what about Remy Remington? Well, he's rich, which is kind of a superpower. Ok Zeno is just super, happy?

Evan talks with Zeno about matching flaps, being a Dream Daddy or not, and how his "weebishness" set his path at an early age. He also takes a crack at Shannon Reed's question about scary casting directors from last episode.

    Ep. 122 – Shannon Reed

    Ep. 122 – Shannon Reed

Now this show can finally add "takes direction well" to its resume.

After 121 episodes, we are finally able to get a voice/casting director on the show to explain how that part of the sausage is made, and thankfully Shannon Reed from Sentai Filmworks is able to put up with Evan's dumb questions.

Shannon also takes Ray Hurd's question about using your own voice as a character, which Shannon assures us does not mean he gets drunk before playing Nameless Drunk Adventurer. But then again, what happens in the booth stays in the booth.

    Ep. 121 – Ray Hurd

    Ep. 121 – Ray Hurd

Normally this is where some bad joke would go, but this week's guest heard plenty during the show.

Ray Hurd might get cast as toughs and villians like Kizaru on One Piece or Azuma in Fairy Tale but he's really a nice guy, honest. I mean, he even teaches people how to play board games!

Ray chats with Evan over the phone about getting his start in radio in his native Texas, jobs where the commute takes longer than the work, and Zs are a villian's best friend.

Opening Song - Luffy vs Gasparde by Kohei Tanaka and Shirō Hamaguchi

Closing Song - Bebop Rocksteady (Demo) by The Prizefighters

    Ep. 119 – Krizia Bajos

    Ep. 119 – Krizia Bajos

"Krizia" already sounds like it belongs to a League Of Legends character, doesn't it?

In this time of quarantine, we've often remarked on how good a Margarita sounds right now (read "any time") so this week we've got the voice of The Casagrande's local hairstylist, the fabulous Krizia Bajos. Mz. Bajos also took over for Laura Bailey as LOL's Akali and carved her own niche in the related Legends Of Runeterra as the Silent Shadowseer (but if she's silent, why does she need VO?).

Krizia talks with Evan about splitting her time between on-screen and voice over, the differences between working on games vs cartoons, and how she risked the wrath of Fred Tatasciore.

Opening Song - The Casagrandes Theme (Official Instrumental)

    Ep. 118 – JP Karliak

    Ep. 118 – JP Karliak

What if we did a show where the boss is...stay with me now...a baby?

JP Karliak may not be doing an Alec Baldwin impression on Boss Baby: Back To Business, at least directly, but he has shown a Baldwin-like range in his voice work, from the aforementioned tiny executive to the latest incarnation of Wile E Coyote (Super Genius) onto actual super geniuses as Doc Samson and Lego Vision.

JP talks with Evan about struggles with IMDB, coffee talk with VO legends, finding a mentor in Bob Bergen and, of course, proper quarantine hair color maintenance. He also pumps NerdsVote, his voter-registration effort and its partner livestream (with former guest Courtenay Taylor) Between Two Nerds where you can also hear a bunch of former and future guests every Tuesday and Thursday.

Editor's Note: Evan and JP mention Season 4 of Boss Baby, which has not been officially announced. Season 3 just launched on Netflix in March, which I think is what Evan was thinking about.

Opening Song - Boss Baby Theme - Instrumental by InstrumentalFX

Closing Song - Bebop Rocksteady (Demo) by The Prizefighters

Ep. 117 – Jon St. John

Ep. 117 – Jon St. John

    Hail to the king, baby!

This episode finds up nestled in the ever-so-manly embrace of the man so nice they named him twice, Jon St. John. From Duke Nukem to Big The Cat to Dr. Heskel, Jon has a talent for playing heavies (literally in Big's case). But is that all there is?

Jon talks with Evan about Old Man Duke, befriending Gary Owens, the future of Duke Nukem and the upcoming Not Con (don't worry, there'll be another one next year). Convention appearances, super-strict NDAs and even a little smooth jazz. Everything you'd expect from talkin' with the Duke.

Opening Song -  Duke Nukem by Megadeth

Closing Song - Bebop Rocksteady (Demo) by The Prizefighters
