    Ep. 135 – Bill Lobley

    Ep. 135 – Bill Lobley

Endorsed by Guillermo Del Toro, "He is very good".

Bill Lobley has, for certain 90s kids that host voice acting podcasts, a pivotal role in our development. Early roles in Sealab 2021 and Celebrity Deathmatch which lead to spots in many video game sequels. Plus critically acclaimed animation, ADR, audiobooks, commericals, cocktail recipes, wait what?

Bill chats with Evan from his home studio and talks about his early days as a rutabega, walking in on a giant pile of guys huddled around a table, a musical Final Question from Major Attaway and why sometimes being the second guy in a role is a compliment.

You can find Bill along with several of his Arcane costars soon on Streamily.

    Ep. 134 – Major Attaway

    Ep. 134 – Major Attaway

    If wishes were fishes....

Major Attaway grew up in Texas, so by law, he had to go into anime dubbing. But what started as a few roles in One Piece and Space Dandy soon became recurring roles in Fairy Tale, major game releases like Borderlands 3 and Smite, and, oh yeah, just a little thing called Broadway.

Major chats with Evan about being a nerdy kid while sounding like that, where he fits in the great chain of Genies (genii?), Twitching and how his perfect role is a singing werewolf general and could someone please write that part because this needs to happen. We also ask him the super mature question Paul Rugg gave us way back in September.

    Ep. 133 – Paul Rugg

    Ep. 133 – Paul Rugg

    Something something chimpanzee.

Recorded live on the 26th anniversary of Freakazoid's debut, it's Paul Rugg! And while the man started as a writer on Animaniacs, he's since put his unique talent for capturing the harmlessly insane to roles like Dark Lord Chuckles The Silly Piggy, Nostradamus, Lord Starchbottom and more. He's also jumped into puppetry, most recently on Earth To Ned (although not as recently as Evan thinks).

Evan chats with Paul about working with Ed Asner, the many uses of a good Jerry Lewis impression, and why puppetry sets aren't great for COVID protection. He also answers a question from Paul Castro Jr and gives us a ticking time bomb of a Bonus Question. Can't wait...

Ep. 132 – Paul Castro Jr.

Ep. 132 – Paul Castro Jr.

Delicate and pessimistic, like a sullen doily.

Not sure how Paul Castro Jr. would feel about that comparison, but honestly he's got so many projects going on he probably doesn't have time to fight it. Between Rikuya in High Rise Invasion, Rindo in Neo: The World Ends With You, and Forseti in Record Of Ragnarok, the dude's got his hands full. Mostly with anime blood.

Paul sits down with Evan to chat about pursuing anime voice acting, getting distracted, and then coming back. He also mentions singing to his 4 cats, finding cult franchises, and starting Bill Hader's career (if Mr. Hader wants to dispute this, he can reach out.)

Opening Song - Empire by HON-NO

    Ep. 131 – Alle Mims

    Ep. 131 – Alle Mims

In retrospect, Master Mims sounds even more like an anime character.

Alle Mims only has a few years under her belt as an anime actor, but in that time she has become one of the most sought after black voices at Funimation. Even for stuff she didn't audition for. Starting out in Garo: Vanishing Line as Enith, Alle has since shown up as Briar in Fairy Tale, Miki in Horimiya and like a VO cobra in the background of a dozen other shows.

Alle talks with Evan about being a black actor in the anime world, how she can thank Shakespeare and Caitlin Glass for her start in the business, and what it's like living in 3 time zones at once.

Opening Song - Fairy Tail Main Theme 8-Bit Remix by Aaron

Closing Song - Bebop Rocksteady (Demo) by The Prizefighters

    Ep. 130 - Cheryl Chase

    Ep. 130 - Cheryl Chase

All edits were fully approved by Cynthia.

When you are gifted with a voice like Cheryl Chase's, a multi-decade career as babies and toddlers can't be far behind. After helping introduce the world to My Neighbor Totoro, Cheryl took on the role of "spitfire" Angelica Pickles, much to the chagrin of Tommy, Dil and the other Rugrats.

Cheryl talks with Evan about being mistaken for a good witch, how Angelica really isn't all that bad a person, and her new children's book, That's Coola Tallulah. She also answers Ben Prendergast's question about wishes and drops a super-powered Bonus Question of her own.

Opening Song - Rugrats Theme [8 Bit Tribute to Rugrats] by 8 Bit Universe

Closing Song - Bebop Rocksteady (Demo) by The Prizefighters
