The Voice of Manny Cabo Greetings From the Garden State

    • Places & Travel

Manny Cabo is a New Jersey-native, an artist, photographer, podcaster, and all around force in the creative world. His song, "Crazy" is the official theme song of Greetings From the Garden State!

Segment 1
Manny takes us through his background growing up in New Jersey. We talk about his music career, his photography, his podcast "Mojo For Musicians," and other creative endeavors that are all intertwined and allow Manny to connect with other musicians and help mentor them to be the best version of themselves.

Today in New Jersey: The New Jersey Fish Commission stocked brook trout for fishermen for the first time on April 25, 1879. The New York Times reported that “this sport has begun here in good earnest, and a good day’s sport may be had anywhere in this part of the country.”

Segment 2
We discuss some upcoming releases Manny has over the next year, including eight new songs, and a book titled "Soul." Manny's home studio, where we recorded this episode, was flooded out with 12-13 feet of water after Hurricane Ida, but he persevered and has been working on these things since then with borrowed equipment before he eventually got the studio back on track.

New Jersey Fun Fact: New Jersey with 7,420 square miles ranks 46th in land area in the U.S.

Segment 3
Manny tells us about his experiences in the music world in New Jersey and his relationship with the state. We also talk about his community of musicians that he's built and helps mentor.
