Ecclesiastes: Wisdom Literature, Four of Five
We've made it to our Third Season, The Wisdom Books of the Bible.
In this episode, we studied the Book of Ecclesiastes, the fourth book of the Wisdom Literature Series. It's believed that this book was written towards the end of Solomon's life as he's reflecting back over his life and his desire is to pass along his wisdom to us.
We covered this book in 3 sections:
(1:1-11) – Introducing the Issue(1:12-12:8) - Looking at the Meaning of Life(12:9-14) – Importance of Focusing on GodSolomon was the author for most of the book. He wrote Ecclesiastes to show that material things fade away and the real meaning of life can only be found in things from above. Everything is Vanity! Solomon was the wisest person to ever live! he's the WOAT... Wisest Of All Time!
The book of Ecclesiastes answers the question, "What's my purpose?" Our purpose is to Fear God and Enjoy Life!

Proverbs: Wisdom Literature, Three of Five
We've made it to our Third Season, The Wisdom Books of the Bible.
In this episode, we studied the Book of Proverbs, the middle book of the Wisdom Literature Series. Since this is such a unique book, we did things a little different. We covered this book in 3 sections:
(1-9) – Father to Son Wisdom
(10-29) - Proverbs of Solomon
(30-31) – Wisdom from Agur and Lemuel
Solomon was the author for most of the book. He wrote these Proverbs to the wise men of Israel as a manual for how to live wisely day-to-day. Solomon was the wisest person to ever live! he's the WOAT... Wisest Of All Time!
The book of Proverbs isn't a book of promises; it's a book of principles.
