A Bonus Dré’s Dispatch 003 feat KindKeith
This following episode is a Bonus episode of Dré’s Dispatch that was recorded several months ago and Daniel forget to upload it.
In this Dispatch we chat with songwriter and keyboardist KindKeith (they/them). We learn about KindKeith’s creative process, inspirations and aspirations for their musical career.
KindKeith studied jazz at UT where they met other talented musicians during the pandemic. Those connections helped give form to KindKeith’s most recent musical group Mockjaw.
KindKeith’s music, influenced by jazz and RnB, explores their emotions throughout different life experiences. For instance, the hardships they faced during jazz school, finding community as a Black Queer person, and the bliss of being in a better place towards the end of the pandemic.

Dré’s Dispatch 002 feat Cloud Companion
This is Dré’s Dispatch with Cloud Companion where we chat with Aaron Chávez (he/they) to discuss the themes and inspirations for the project.
Chavèz is a local artist in the Austin TX music scene and front person for Cloud Companion, a contemplative bedroom pop group. Chavèz takes inspiration from his sunroom where he enjoys the natural environment and contemplates ideas of ego, interconnection, and the everyday presence of being.
Cloud Companion’s live performance style is lighthearted and enjoys experimenting with more immersive and interactive elements that suit the naturalistic themes of its music.
Chavèz is also a member of TC superstar, Flyer Club and cofounder of Flyer Club Records alongside a friend, Connor McCambell.

Do you love punk? Theatrical, energizing performances? Family?
This week we interviewed two bands formed by siblings over a love of music and live performances- Skating Polly and Lord Friday the 13th.
We discuss what life is like both on and off the road, what is on the musical horizon for fans of Skating Polly, and most importantly, what Pokemon game you need to play next if you haven’t already.
Skating Polly is an internationally known band formed by stepsisters Kelli Mayo and Peyton Bighorse in 2009, with brother Kurtis Mayo on drums. Lord Friday the 13th was also formed by a sibling duo, Felix and Sloane Lenz in 2019. Both these bands excel in their live performances and Skating Polly is due to release a double EP soon.
