My heart has joined the Thousand
Hello everyone.
I'm afraid there won't be a full episode this week as, very sadly, my father passed away earlier today, the 20th of May 2024, and I obviously need a little time to grieve and to do what needs to be done in these circumstances.
The plan is that things will get back to normal next week. This podcast is, and has always been, invaluable to me in terms of my mental health and, rest assured, it will continue.
The image for this bonus episode is the last painting my father completed before his stroke in 2021. It is of him walking on his beloved Sussex Downs.

When anyone asks…
…my favorite book I have always had an immediate answer, “Watership Down”. I have loved it since I read it at age 12 (am now 51). I love all iterations but the book is near and dear. So comforting. I also love this podcast and am binging it now as I just found it a few weeks ago. I really like the thoughtful insight into the rabbits as individuals as well as themes within the book. Including other listeners views is fresh and interesting too. I have learned so many things from this podcast about something I have loved for nearly 40 years…amazing! Keep it up, please and thank you.

An absolutely wonderful find!
I recently have acquired a love for podcasts about my favorite topics (Tolkien, Sherlock Holmes, birds, D&D) and just on a whim I decided to search for a podcast on my all time favorite novel, figuring it would amount to nothing as most of my friends have never heard of or read any works of Richard Adams. Needless to say I was so overjoyed to find this excellent podcast! It is obviously produced by someone as enamored of Hazel, Bigwig, and Fiver as I am and each episode is a very deep dive into all things WD. Well done!
