Mr. Rogers often talked about the importance of listening. How can we become better listeners in our own lives?
In his last moments, it is reported that he asked his wife if he was a “sheep,” referring to the Last Judgment in the Bible, when Jesus separates the good sheep from the bad goats. If Fred Rogers questioned his sheepyness, what hope do the rest of us have?
“I like you as your are”. Children need to hear that. I don’t think anybody can grow unless they are exactly as they are. -
