This podcast is for people like us. Our career has been what some would call 'non-linear.' When we look for a job, no one - especially recruiters - can put the pieces of our experience together. We want to change careers but aren't sure how. When we land a new role or change careers, that's just the beginning of next-leveling our career. If you're one of us, this podcast is for you. Join Host (and author) Travis L. Scott as he takes what he's learned from two decades of marketing and recruiting to change the way you approach your career and, in the process, change your life.

Brannan Sirratt: How to Become a Better Writer (or Copywriter)
All anyone can talk about right now is AI and ChatGPT which leads me to the question: Is it even worth it to try to become a better writer?
The short answer is: yes.
If you agree and want to become better at copywriting or want to pivot into copywriting, this episode is for you.
Brannan Sirratt is a non-fiction book coach and editor. She was the editor of my book, Think Differently, and will be the editor of the next book I plan to start writing soon.

Robbie Samuels: Croissants vs Bagels - How to Network Better at Conferences
Have you ever left a conference feeling like you could have done a better job at meeting people?
Yeah, me too. That's why I wanted to talk with Robbie about his book Croissants vs Bagels where he talks about this very thing.
A week after our interview I was going to be attending a conference/tradeshow and Robbie offered some tips on how to approach it and what to do in certain, inevitable situations.
If you're planning on attending in-person events this year, this interview (and his book) are essential.
Robbie also has a new book called Break Out of Boredom: Low-Tech Solutions for Highly Engaging Zoom Events that will be available March 13, 2023.

Emily Mireault: Creating LinkedIn Content to Land Your Next Job
Like many marketers right now, Emily Mireault became a RIF casualty and was suddenly in the market for a new role.
After applying to numerous roles in the traditional "spraying and praying" fashion, she decided to do something different. She decided to go all in on using LinkedIn to organically find her next role.
Find out what she did and how it worked in this episode of the Winding Road Careers podcast.

Mallory Lee: Taking a Sabbatical and Career Transitions
Changing jobs and companies is tough. Most of the time, we jump from one right into the other with barely a break.
Mallory Lee wanted to change that, so during her interviews, she asked to take a mini-sabbatical between roles- and the companies agreed.
She is now the VP of Operations at Nylas, which means she also moved into a completely different type of business. She needed to learn a new customer persona and market, not to mention adjust to working across multiple time zones (she had mostly been working only in the US Eastern Time Zone).
Find out how she has transitioned and what she learned during her sabbatical.
