Illuminating

These stories are heartbreaking. I suspected that these treatments were dangerous but I had no idea how this all was affecting families. My heart goes out to these people. This shouldn’t be happening to ANYONE. We all need to pay attention to what’s happening. I highly recommend this podcast.

Disgusting

This podcast does NOT care about the well being of these teens. 42% of trans youth have considered suicide, yet they talk about the teens as though they are delusional and have been brainwashed.
“Oh yeah we’re just tryna help the kids, we don’t want them indoctrinated!! 😙😚”
This does REAL DAMAGE to trans kids and their families. If you’re a parent of a trans kid, I implore you to look elsewhere if you want to find true ways to support your kid. This podcast will make your trans kid HATE you.

Pulling back the curtain

These personal stories are so important to hear. I used to believe that affirmation was the best option, but after hearing these individual stories, I can understand why it’s so important to step back, put the brakes on all the medical interventions, and really listen to the people who can see the long-view, not just “follow the child’s lead.” I didn’t know that so many children and families are being HARMED, and it makes me ill. I think about “support” in a whole new way. I’m so glad for this podcast. I had no idea what was happening inside those private spaces, like people’s homes, classrooms, and therapists’ and doctors’ offices. Now I cannot unhear what I’ve heard, and I’m so glad. I feel much more prepared to talk about this and know what I can do to actually help children and families without just nodding and smiling. Thank you so much for doing this. I had no idea.
