As if you are there…

Stumbled across this because I love history and my parents’ whole lives were affected by World War II. Wow, I can’t believe how real it all feels, listening to these radio broadcasts. From famous speeches by Churchill and Roosevelt, to Edward R Murrow broadcasts, to recipes for the housewife coping with rationing — it’s all there. Thanks to whoever put this together, and keep the episodes coming, please! Teachers and profs out there, please have your students listen to this. It’s better than all the textbooks put together.

The Best!

There are many World War 2 podcasts available. Some present the war as history with analysis, and some present the war as it happened - live. This podcast is, hands down, the very best at presenting the war as it happened, day-by-day on the radio. I listen to it everyday. If you want to experience one of the most important events in history, live, as if you were listening to events unfold on the radio, while they happened, this is the podcast for you. Excellent in every way!

Appreciate the archives

It’s wonderful to have primary source historical media available from this era. Interesting that “news” was as editorial then as it is now.
