A much needed and refreshing drink
Theobourbon is a fun and insightful look into Christian* theology from a modern day perspective. Derek serves as the direction, Megan as the insightful progressive, and Tom as the light-hearted relief throughout each episode. All while drinking bourbon (supposedly).
The hosts all have different backgrounds, but they never “force their beliefs down your throat.” Instead it feels like an open and honest conversation. As someone who grew up in the church and still considers himself a rather Conservative believer, I found this podcast both enjoyable and informative. Regardless of whether or not I agreed with whoever is speaking, I found myself invested in what they had to say.
My only complaint is that I cannot give this review 5 star review because Tom does not actually drink bourbon on the podcast. SMH Tom.
Would definitely recommend this podcast to seminary students and bourbon connoisseurs. More so the former than the latter. Even better if you are in both camps. I personally binged through all** the episodes while at work and it made the day go by better and faster.
Well done Thsobourbon crew. I look forward to the next episode.
