Underground will live forever baby We just like roaches, We never die, Always living… Dedicated to theSoundUnderground

Deep in the night something comes over you and you don't know what it is, you say what is this sound? With echoes of the 90's and Hardkiss' Delusions of Grandeur what your are hearing is the sounds of 1981.US. This is where it started, this is where we fell in love, this is where we found the Rave. Somewhere from the Underground of New Orleans 1981.US rises up with the influences of the past to bring you back to that time when we were all young and looking to be different and something to separate us from our every day world. We are the Ravers, we are the hippies of our time. This mix tells us all this truth again and fully encapsulates that time in the now. As for who is 1981.US, who knows! Does it really matter because all you need is a dark room with a strobe light and some good music, whoever they/he/she are this is what has been given.

A very active member of his local community, Mike is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, designer, and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. “For me, it’s all about mood and a deep, hypnotic groove… playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realizing it." Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy.

Having grown up on a combination of Hip hop and old school dance music all which became infused with his own love for both progressive house and techno, Sagethacat ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat.

Anthoney Carter aka TEHKAL (think Method Man and TICAL) is a true renaissance man. The Tennessee based artist co-owns Future-Everything imprint with past guest Micah 'Strooly' McGee that touts itself as more than just a record label, but rather a multimedia label and lifestyle brand. He engineers many of the tracks that are released on Future-Everything along with producing many of his very own tracks. His is also an overall musician as he plays guitar and bass to which he can be heard playing "guitar inspired noises" on many of his productions. A native born Memphian you can hear the city's influence in the music he makes and plays which is full of funk and soul.
