Things Google Wants SEOs Not To Focus On (& My Take On It)... ‪‬ SEO Podcast by #SEOSLY

    • Marketing

In this video, I give my unique takes on optimizations Google says not to focus on, but I disagree in some cases based on my experience!

I explain why tactics like meta keywords or internal link sculpting may seem outdated, but could still aid SEO with the right approach. And while extreme keyword density is bad, higher density often correlates with better rankings in my testing. I also break down the gray areas around subdomains vs subdirectories, duplicate content issues, optimizing headings, and more.

Just because Google deems something ineffective doesn't mean it can't work with finesse! I share opinions derived from extensive hands-on work - not just relying on Google guidance.

Because search algorithms interacting with the real world require going beyond simplifications.

Check out my contrarian SEO perspectives, examine the evidence yourself, and form your own conclusions. Do these "ignored" factors deserve reexamination? I welcome healthy debate in the comments!
