Life's filled with a ton of curveballs and hurdles. But, do you make sense of them?

For self-proclaimed overachiever Jenina, there was no hurdle she wouldn't tackle. However, all of that went out of the window when she woke up from a stroke one morning. Since rebounding from that scary moment, Jenina's make it her mission to redefine and rewrite understanding of the world around her - and perhaps get a bit wiser and inspired in the process.

In this show, Jenina will explore the things we all care about: self-care, relationships, career and managing your health... And, how you approach of these things when you feel like don't have control over them...

With so much important stuff to consider to consider, Jenina likes to think this traumatic experience gave way to her "stroke of wisdom": you've got to consider every moment you've for a reason to learn and grow. If you're open to it.

Jenina doesn’t claim to be an expert, just learning to look at the glass as though it’s always half full while making the choices best for her.

    The Breakup, Reconsidered

    The Breakup, Reconsidered

Breakups are a sad reality of relationships. That said, when a romantic coupling ends, how often can we look back  and without doubt, own our own mistakes in how things went? In this special episode This Life, Reconsidered, talk to Elaine, a divorcee that takes a hard look at the person she was in her marriage. Above that, she allows her to learn from the hurt and the turn of events. What we learn from this episode is that it IS possible to learn from the end of a relationship, if you're open to it.

Some advice on being BOLD (Interview with Lillian Ruiz)

In this season two opener, I kick things off by focusing on one of the most empowering messages we tend to forget - how to being afraid of the choices we need to make for ourselves, especially if we're going to pursue the lives we want.
To dig into this important lesson, I interviewed Lillian Ruiz, former COO of Civil Media Company & Civil Foundation. As a person that has made big, bold decisions to create her own reality, I thought she's have some great perspective to share.

Inspiring and insightive

I especially liked that Jenina was able to move from denial to claiming the present. Changing one’s mindset is a challenge.
