Take the #1 golf instructor in the state of Indiana (Jeff Smith (http://jeffsmithgolfinstruction.com) ) and pair him with an outstanding radio personality and you have the formula for one helluva Golf Talk Radio Show.
John Ashton (the show host) has enjoyed success as a morning personality on radio stations from Bangor, Maine to Dallas, Texas. He’s also embarrassed himself on many golf courses in the same locations. John is a hacker, struggling to break 80 (OK, 90) but has a passion and enjoyment of the game, a skewed sense of humor and an outlook that makes this the most entertaining Golf Show around.
Jeff Smith, PGA enjoys the innate ability to create word pictures so, even on the radio, his tips and techniques to improve your game are clear, easy to follow and help listeners cut strokes on their very next round.

2 Golf Movers and Shakers: Mark Sweeney and Augustin Piza
This week John Ashton and Jeff Smith spend time with two of golf's current movers and shakers: Mark Sweeney, creator of the Aim Point System and Augustin Piza, the golf architect that is creating some of the best courses ever in Latin America and beyond. You probably saw DJ's brother, Austin Johnson using the Aim Point System at the Master's. Listen as Mark explains not only how, but WHY the system works so well. And once you spend some time listening to Augustin Piza talk about golf, golf courses, nature and how they all work together you will be dashing out to the nearest course from Piza Golf. If that course happens to be in Cabo... all the better! Another fun, funny, entertaining hour of Award winning Golf Talk with Those Weekend Golf Guys Golf Podcast.
Land Your Chip Shot Like A Butterfly With Sore Feet
Chipping. Pitching. Doing it wrong leads to bitching! What you want to do is land your ball onto the green like a butterfly with sore feet! And in this week’s episode of Those Weekend Golf Guys, Jeff Smith, the #1 Golf Instructor in the state of Indiana tells you how to do that first time every time. And we also celebrate Master’s Sunday by spending some time with Linda Hartough. She is one of the best golf art creators in the world. She started her career of capturing the beauty of golf on canvas at the Master’s in 1985 with her now famous landscape of the 13th hole at Augusta National. She has painted courses all over the world and we are proud to have her with us on this Master’s Sunday. Another fun, funny, and extremely entertaining edition of the award winning golf podcast, Those Weekend Golf Guys.
Into The wind
Whether hitting into the wind or flying into the wind, the resistance of the wind has a great effect on the flight. In fact, without that resistance, flight would be impossible. Are we talking golf or are we talking life? We are talking both, and a lot more too and we're talking with Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, the founder of Folds Of Honor and author of the new book. Fly Into The Wind. Dan has some great advice on living, on competing, on surviving. He also has some great stories. Jeff has a great story too. Listen and find out what happens when a golf instructor is stopped for speeding by a cop with a bad slice! It's funny. It's an episode you won't want to miss
Time For A Southern Trip
Even golfers fly south for the winter. At least, golf instructors do. Jeff Smith checks in from the Landings Club on Skidmore Island, Georgia. Since the weather is still warm there Jeff can adapt a more laid back attitude and explain so we all can understand just how the "force plates" that he uses in his instruction work. He talks about fast greens and straight putts. A few new practice techniques and all the reasons you, too may want to head south for the winter. Another fun, funny, and truly entertaining episode of Those weekend Golf Guys.
War Zone Rules and other Hilarity
Some folks seem to be surprised that Golf has flourished so well during this Covid-19 quarantine period. We really shouldn't be surprised. It seems that golf and golfers have adapted and flourished during much more serious emergencies, like WWII. We have a hilarious collection of temporary rules used at a course in England in 1940. Anyone want to hazard a guess the penalty for landing a ball to close to unexploded ordinance?
We also share the labeling code for ProV1 balls so you can tell just hpw old that one you just found is and should it be thrown int the shag bag or can you really use it?
And finally, are you in good enough shape to play? Can you get into shape quickly? Of course you can. We talk with Bob Forman from Gofitcarolina.com about how to train physically for golf no matter how old you are or what shape you are in now. Bob is TPI certified. All in all just another hilarious, fun, entertaining hour of golf talk podcast from Those Weekend Golf Guys.
