Thriving in Babylon…Biblical Hope

What is hope? In our current society, it is everything from wishful thinking to a form of positive thinking or visualization to a political slogan. Is that what hope really is? This week we will be sharing with you the first of three characteristics that helped a man named Daniel to thrive in exile. Daniel had hope. A deep-rooted, engrained, entrenched confidence in God’s character and sovereignty. Daniel’s hope was not just in his words either. He literally staked his life on it, multiple times.

One of my favorite passages in all of God’s Word comes from the apostle Peter.

1 Peter 3:15.

But in your hearts revere, (set apart,) Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the HOPE that you have.

The challenge to us is not to make a list of reasons why we “hope” that Jesus might be the Messiah. We are to share how we are absolutely certain that He is!

If this world has left you will little or no hope lost or confused then please consider joining us this Sunday to hear about the hope of Daniel. It is the same hope that is available to each of us today!
