    250 Outrageous Vision 120422

    Outrageous Vision
    2 Corinthians 9:15
15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
This is our theme verse for our outrageous series. God has given us an indescribable gift through His Son Jesus. As we continue in this series, this week we shift to the topic of vision. God has an outrageous plan for His bride, the Church, here on this Earth. We know that each of us is to play a vital role in that plan.
    Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained. But happy is one who keeps the Law.

What exactly does this verse mean? How does vision relate to the Law of God? How does it relate to God’s plan for His Church. Specifically, what is God calling us to be and to do here at Berea? This week we will be revealing some of the needs that God has laid on the hearts of the people here at Berea. Needs within our community and needs right here at the church. We believe that God is calling us to be something greater. To reach further into our community and across the world.

We pray that if you do not have a relationship with Jesus, you might consider beginning one right here with us. If you know Jesus but do not have a church home, we want to invite you to be a part of what God is doing among His people at Berea Christian Church.

    Outrageous Thanksgiving
    Happy Thanksgiving to all!
    2 Corinthians 9:15
15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Thanksgiving means so many different things to each of us. Depending on where you are at in life, it might be a great celebration. It could be a time of anxiety or even mourning due to a loss you have experienced. Our prayer is that this week we will give God an opportunity to remind us of the things He has given us. And that this reminder will inspire us to return thanks. No matter what you are going through, He knows. And He loves you. He wants to help you through.

This week we will look at a few examples of outrageous thankfulness found in God’s Word. Who were these people? Why were they so thankful? How can their stories inspire us today? How should we be expressing out thankfulness to God today.

    447 Outrageous Forgiveness wk 3 111322

    Sunday, November 13th, 2022 @ 10:00 a.m.

    Outrageous Forgiveness…

    Romans 5:6-8

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

The forgiveness that Jesus offers is outrageous and it is available to anyone who comes to Him and is willing to “declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead.  No matter what you have done,  no matter what you are doing, He is waiting for you to come to Him today.

    Outrageous Sin…
    Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

On the eve of an election this week our Outrageous series takes a turn toward the evil of sin.
Why is sin so offensive to God? Should we be offended by sin? What price do we pay if we allow sin into our lives? God’s Word is crystal clear on each of these.

    Outrageous Heroes wk 1 102022

    Outrageous Heroes wk 1 102022

    Outrageous Heroes!

In an ungrateful world, we are called to be different. We are to see the world differently. We are to see circumstances differently. Our goal is to see things as Jesus sees them. We call this a Christian World View. The more you study the life, the words, the teachings of Jesus. The more you learn the heart of God for His people and His creation. The more you will begin to see things from His point of view. Now of course this is countered by the world at every turn. If we spend more time watching and reading the news, interacting on facebook, and absorbing media of all forms than we do chasing after the heart and mind of God then it will be very hard to have a Biblical or Christian worldview.

We want to turn things in His direction. We want His Word to be the filter that we run everything through. Our theme verse for this series is
    2 Corinthians 9:15
15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
One of the greatest gifts that God has given us is His Word. This week we will be taking a look at 4 outrageous heroes found in Hebrews 11. They are remembered for their outrageous faith as well as their outrageous flaws. How does their story relate to ours?
