    His Redemption >>> My Mistakes

    His Redemption >>> My Mistakes

You’ll miss so much of what God wants to say if you think He only speaks through scripture or prayer and meditation. God sends us love notes in the everyday things. From cleaning, driving, cooking, tending to plants, playing with kids, talking to other people, creating, etc.; He can and will use anything to speak to your heart. This podcast is a little message of encouragement given to me while painting one day. I hope after listening to this, you will let go of your regrets and shame. I hope you will remember that, even when the Spirit of God lives within you, you still fall short in the flesh. God is well aware of our short comings as humans, & is willing & wanting to save you from your own mistakes. There is no situation so messy, that God could not redeem it. Not only does He work it all for the good, but many times, he will turn it into a blessing. Your pain is not in vain my friend.

When Living Out ‘WWJD’ Feels Impossible

When Living Out ‘WWJD’ Feels Impossible

Jesus wasn’t lying when he said the path is narrow. (Of course he wasn’t, he is literally THE truth) Most of the time I feel like I’m walking a tight rope trying to live a life that imitates Christ. There are many moments where, the desire to be like Christ is there but, living out ‘wwjd’ feels absolutely impossible. But what a blessing it is to remember that when Christ lives within us, we are no longer bound by the law, but instead, under God’s glorious grace. In Galatians 5:4 Paul says, “If you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.” NLT

In this episode I read an entry from my journal, that was written in a moment of clarity after confusion and self-condemnation.

My hopes for this podcast episode is that someone may begin to understand just one of the many ways that “His grace is sufficient.” (2 Cor 12:9) I hope that someone can listen to this & remember that, you are not deemed righteous by your good works or deeds, but by faith in Christ. God did not send His son to condemn the world, but to save it, so when the pharisees inside of you attempt to lead you into self-condemnation, say, “there is grace for this. I will be kind to myself, just as Jesus is.” Being confident that He who started a good work in you, will bring it to completion. (Philippians 1:6)

“We who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to RECEIVE BY FAITH, the righteousness God has promised to us.” (Gal. 5:5) IG: @boutmyfathersbizness

    Let’s Heal

    Let’s Heal

I’m not ashamed to admit, I cry… nearly everyday. I let myself feel it now, because how else am I gonna get it out? Because I give myself time to brave the depths of my hardened heart, More and more I am able to fully open myself up to love and to be loved. Day by day I am freeing myself of the fears of past pain repeating itself. I won’t pretend like I enjoy the process. Its not fun knowing old heartaches are still buried & stored deep inside of me & the process of letting go feels never ending. But every time I face something else, I come out with more clarity, I come out feeling lighter, closer to wholeness, & closer to love again. & that makes it worth it.

    Dude! You Have Food!

    Dude! You Have Food!

My thoughts after leaving the grocery store during a winter storm warning. When a quick trip for some coffee turns into 45 min in line because people live in fear of being in their house for 2 days without a years worth of food.

Angels & the Armor of God

Angels & the Armor of God

Random story time that I felt was worth the share. Angels have always been my jam, but when I understood they’re really just a higher dimensional being that report to God, just like us humans do, I stopped asking for their assistance quite as often because I felt like, at times, I was idolizing them. I still believed they were always with me & working on my behalf, but I just wanted to go straight to the big man upstairs for my needs. However, I often fail to ask my Heavenly Father to send his Army of Angels.

This incident made me realize that I need to be asking The Lord of Hosts to call for back up (A.K.A. Angels) when Satan turns his attacks up a few notches.

God’s armor keeps me strong & protected, but Archangel Michael came through & demolished the devil along with all his evil schemes, INSTANTLY. #Ephesians6:11 #FIGHTTHEGOODFIGHT

I Have Called You By Name. You Are Mine.

I Have Called You By Name. You Are Mine.

In this episode I talk about the importance of our names & how they can often describe the essence of our being. I briefly introduce the story of Esther, a book in the Bible on which I plan to go much deeper into in future episodes. I explain how the etymology and meaning of Esther’s name is a beautiful representation of her story. I discuss my reasons for recently deciding to ask others to start referring to me as “Kathryn” instead of Kat, along with the divine synchronicities and parallels of my life story & my name.
