Hello and Welcome listeners to Through the Sightglass, the podcast that dives deep into the fascinating world of craft beer and celebrates the incredible individuals who shape its vibrant landscape. Join us on a journey where we explore the nuances of this amazing industry and the remarkable people who contribute to its richness and diversity. Today we have the opportunity to chat with our friend Chris Clarke.

Welcome Chris! Hailing from the vibrant town of Harlingen, Texas, and armed with a bachelor's in fine arts and studio art and design, coupled with a minor in Spanish, Chris is a true maestro with a heart as rich as his Costa Rican roots. After his college studies at the University of North Texas, Chris found his way to the sunny streets of Oakland, California.

Where through a bit of luck and fate, he met a friend named Joe, an avid home brewer himself who further fed the fire and passion that Chris had developed for this liquid alchemy that was craft beer. Once he was settled in Oakland, Chris launched himself into the education, practice, and honing of this new form of art.

He wasted no time in working with some of the finest of the craft beer scene in California. With such notables such as Anchor Brewing Company, To the cozy corners of Local Brewing Company, and the traditional German bar of Brotzeit Local. Chris immersed himself deeper into the love, craft, and pure passion that flows in every drop of craft beer.

At the same time, Chris avidly worked to become a Level 2 Cicerone, truly showing his dedication and education to the art and history of it. But the story doesn't end there. With the encouragement from a friend and a burst of momentum, Chris took his talents to Tacoma, Where he continued to weave his magic at such places as Seven Seas Brewing, earning accolades for his barrel aged beer, as well as Tin Dog Brewing, a Belgian style brewery located just south of Seattle.

More than a decade of heart, passion, and soul poured into the liquid artistry that is this beer. We're stoked and excited to have Chris share his wealth of knowledge, experiences, and stories. So without further ado, let's raise a glass and welcome Chris to the Thru the Sightglass podcast. Buddy, thanks for coming on.
