As much of a dumpster fire as the Pats are, your discussion of the options for change was really enlightening. I used to think the Krafts’ were good owners but they are responsible for this wreck. How they could promise Mayo the head coach job when he hadn’t yet accumulated the experience is poor stewardship. If they keep Mayo for next season, the football overlord is their best hope but a slim one. I hate to see AVP be the scapegoat. He might be a much better OC if he had an offensive line and a couple of reasonable receivers (not all-pro, just ball catchers). Podcast host is friends with head coach, doesn’t want him fired, even though he has shown himself to be shockingly incapable as the head coach and the team has made no progress in any aspect. Bring in ex teammate and friend of head coach, who argues that he shouldn’t be fired. That is honest web journalism for you, folks.

This is a solid Patriots podcast with weekly updates and digestible episode length. The hosts are knowledgeable and credible journalists. Curran has good sources and was the first to break that Belichick would not return to the Pats.
