S4. Case 5: The Mystery of Willow Creek

S4. Case 5: The Mystery of Willow Creek

Alaskan huntsman Fred and his cousin and uncle are trapped in a cabin in the Alaskan wilderness, seemingly surrounded by terrifying creatures, resembling the local folk stories about Bigfoot or “the Hairy Man”. Can they escape with their lives?
Also, Danny ventures to Humboldt County, site of some of America’s most famous alleged Bigfoot sightings, to talk to resident Native Americans about their ancient beliefs in these creatures and their own experiences. Is this a great American myth or could there really be a secret, undetected species living in the USA?

S4. Case 4: The Hairy Man

Tribal elder Fred and his cousin and uncle are travelling through the Alaskan wilderness when they are surrounded in their cabin by terrifying creatures resembling the “Hairy Man” legend they were always warned about as kids.
As Fred recounts the terrifying story of what happens next, Danny Robins wonders if this story could hold the answer to one of America’s most enduring mysteries – the legend of Bigfoot.

Lisa and her young family build their dream home in rural Missouri. Before they’ve even unpacked, strange events begin. Lights switch themselves on each night, footsteps echo around empty rooms, objects move by themselves.

    S4. Case 2: Dad's Phone

    S4. Case 2: Dad's Phone

Wendy’s father Harry was a British Spitfire pilot during World War II who moved to Texas to work in espionage. When he becomes ill with cancer, he promises Wendy that if there is life after death, he will reach out to her. This isn’t that comforting, their relationship has always been difficult - Harry used many of the espionage techniques he was schooled in to control and monitor Wendy, like a real-life version of Robert De Niro’s character in Meet the Parents.
When Harry dies, Wendy moves into his house in Austin and then… her Dad’s phone begins to ring by itself. It's disconnected, what's happening is impossible, so is this Harry reaching out? And what will it take to make him let go?

Best scary podcast I've discovered thus far!

This is high praise considering I've been a Spooked listener for several years now. It's always reigned supreme in my list of scary podcasts - Radio Rental, You Can See Me In The Dark, etc. But this has changed ever since discovering Uncanny. The production quality and story telling is very similar, but the analysts add a new layer of goodness to everything.

Note to self never sleep under a moat

As someone who is super into the supernatural, idk if I’m a full believer but I’m not 100% skeptic so I consider myself an “open minded skeptic part time believer”.This is a really good podcast if you are fascinated by the supernatural, if your like me and over think things a lot it will make u very paranoid for a while (season 2 episode 2 freaked me out i slept with the light on for about a day), however once your able to get over that, it is a very good listen! Highly recommend! Also when are we gonna get The Hanging Room Part 2? ( suicide trigger warnings in that episode heads up). Very good listen and even if you don’t believe anything, you might still like hearing the stories! ( also Ghosts crossover LETS GOOOOOO! ThemThier4life!)

OH my god the ad timing!

This is an entertaining show but the timing of the ad breaks - usually right in the middle of a word - they totally throw you out of the experience. Listen on the BBC app for an uninterrupted versionif you can.
