Laura Munson | Top Lessons Learned in 2022 (A Parent. Boss. Leader. Crossover)

UITB is closing out 2022 with a bang by having a crossover episode featuring the one and only Laura Munson.

I'm excited to chat with Laura Munson, VP of Sales & Strategy at ATR International, who hosts her own podcast called “Parent. Boss. Leader.” It’s our very first episode together! This was a great opportunity to have a candid conversation with an old friend and colleague about the top lessons we've learned in 2022, a year that tested our limits in so many ways.

As part of the staffing industry, we’re both constantly facing challenges that impact the entire economy, monitoring trends and taking action to help leaders across industries hire exceptional people. In talking with Laura, I'm constantly inspired. I love how she shares her feelings on the importance of not comparing ourselves with others, forging our own paths instead and learning to trust our teams. As leaders, this helps us gain a better perspective on managing the struggles we face everyday.

I hope this episode also gives you the opportunity to reflect and get inspired during this holiday season. Enjoy the episode and have a wonderful holiday season, everyone!

    Episode Highlights:

We catch up briefly and touch on my history with ATR
We talk about the importance of agility to keep up with frantic changes in the staffing industry
We chat about how loving your job is a critical piece to anyone’s success (and leading a vibrant life!)
We discuss how stress can be handled by focusing your attention on other people—an indispensable coping mechanism that can make you unshakable
And so many other great bits of wisdom!

Thanks for tuning into the end of the year wrap up. I had a blast with Laura on this one, maybe it's a sneak peek of more to come in New Year.
