Updating to iOS 11, with Friends, Chris Russell and Paul Shimmons (Season 3, Episode 1‪)‬ Music Ed Tech Talk

    • Music

Paul Simmons and Chris Russell (Co-hosts of the Music Education Technology Podcast) join the show to talk about all of the new features in iOS 11. We touch on it all! The dock, multitasking, the new Files app, new Notes features, and even the iPhone X announcement. This is a great episode to listen to if you have seen Apple’s prompt to update and you are on the fence. We will walk you through all of the major changes, and how we are using them.

Note! In our review of all the ways to launch an app into multitasking mode that is not on the dock, I forgot one. If a Bluetooth keyboard is attached to your iPad, you can press Command+Space to launch Spotlight, search for an app, start dragging the icon, and drop it into place next to your existing app. It isn’t pretty, but it works.
