On his way rejoicing - Acts 8:26-35
The Bible Story about Philip and the eunuch is an example that transcends time and space, ethnicities, races, gender, skin color, and all the other “differences” we tend to put up as barriers, creating “us” versus “them” scenarios. It breaks down the barriers we put up to shield ourselves from differences. God gave us a rule book. It’s called the Bible. God gave us a command that is the first of all commands. You may find it in Matthew 22:37-40 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

No one can take my life from me - John 10:11-18
Jesus identified Himself as “I AM” just as God the Father did when He first spoke to Moses and gave him his mission. Jesus makes 7 “I AM” statements in the Gospel of John. While these statements are all important, the one that stands out to me is John 14:6 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

There is forgiveness of sins - Luke 24:36b-48
Have you ever considered the Bible and Jesus and the Resurrection and humanity as a weave? Woven, interwoven by God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.

United in heart and mind” - Acts 4:32-35
Let us be bold, let us be united, let us worship the Lord with one heart, one soul, one mind.
Historians agree that most people in the first-century Roman Empire lived at or below subsistence level; their lives required a literal sharing of material resources. Are we too rich to do that today? Or should we take this passage as instructions for how Christian communities ought to relate to each other even today? I invite you to comment on Why or why not?

Let us Rejoice in the salvation He brings! – Isaiah 25:6-9
Happy Easter! The Lord is Risen! He is risen indeed! That is the greeting we used to hear in one denomination. And that is the reason for rejoicing! Looking at Isaiah today we might come to realize that the Old Testament prophecies are still relevant and have much to teach us about the holiness of God and the seriousness of sin.

Save Now! - John 12:12-19
They took palm branches and ran out to meet Jesus. After all, this was the traditional way of greeting a conquering king. Waving palm branches was a visual and spectacular way to give him thanks and praise. But why were they there? Why did so many people come out to see Jesus come into Jerusalem? What were they expecting? Then this day became a historical event that we commemorate year after year. Why? When we follow a leader what’s on our minds? Do we follow for the right reason? Or is it that we are looking for some kind of personal benefit?
