Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (w/ Matt Goes to the Movies‪)‬ The Basement Binge

    • Film Reviews

[#52] Luc Besson has one crazy imagination! But I honestly had no idea! All I knew was this was a space opera that had some mixed reviews and the Blu Ray was on sale for under $5. So sure why not, lets buy it. Then it just sat on my shelf. So about a year later, it is finally time to visit the strange world of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets with my great friend, Matt Goes to the Movies.

This film is wacky and this review would not have been as fun without Matt's help. Subscribe to his show wherever you get your podcasts! https://bit.ly/2W1C56F or find him on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/MattPodcast

From the visionary director behind 'The Fifth Element' and 'Lucy' and based on the French Comic Series "Valerian and Lauraline" comes - Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

A dark force threatens Alpha, a vast metropolis and home to species from a thousand planets. Special operatives Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.
