Wise Guy
Wisdom.
Is it having the right answers?
Is it convincing or coercing others?
Is it walking hand-in-hand with others or Someone more?
Let's discuss the little gift of wisdom, her futilities and where we find eternal wisdom. -
Living Contradictions
Enter the book of Ecclesiastes. In God’s grace, this wisdom literature humanizes our struggles with life’s seemingly pointlessness. It creates divine space for the enigmatic futilities of life by voicing frustration while also offering a layered and sometimes… contradictory response(s):
Life is a wisp of smoke… here today and gone tomorrow.
Life is unpredictable and sometimes futile.
Enjoy the little things. Laugh with friends.
Fear God. Judgment is coming.
Together, there is mystery in the meaning(s). Yet, if God were predictable, would God be God?
Our lack of fully understanding is something we must fully understand. Let’s begin by living in the complexity. -
STRONG Families Sunday
A day in a soup kitchen. Two Weeks serving abroad. Christmas Giving Trees. These are all great ways to serve. Truly Awesome. AND... These can also be ways to quickly check off the list. "Lord, I did the 'mission' thing... We good?"
This Sunday, we invited our ministry partner STRONG Families to discuss how continuous hospitality can work alongside the singular service opportunities... (Hey, my mom works in a soup kitchen. They are rad!) -
Easter Quiz
Q: Who did Jesus come to love, save and forgive?
A: ???
All of these and many, many more as we celebrate our Kind Rabbi revealing the Risen King. -
Holy Week Experience (see attached pdf)
Instead of sermon/ homily, W.E. created a live dramatization of Holy Week experience, which included response elements. It was fun, reflective and even gut-wrenching. Enjoy!

Prayer Warrior
In Luke 18:1, Jesus told his disciples a parable "to show them that they should always pray and not give up."
Always pray and don’t give up.
Main Idea. So what do we do?
We pray, discuss some resistance to do so... and we pray some more.
