No-till farming
I grew up South of Jamesport and in the early 60s my father practiced what was called no-till farming just as you described using special equipment. We ran the disk over the corn fields once to knock down and cut up the stalks and then ran the special planter once and applied fertilizer and pesticides on the same pass and that was it. So the basic idea is not new but has been slow to expand.
Great listen for any farm loving American!
You can tell that there was a lot of preparation that went in to this podcast before the first episode even dropped. Very well put together, relatable topics, loyal and funny guys just trying to give a good perspective of every day life on the farm!
