    • Parenting

Marriage. Work. Life. It’s hard to juggle it all, especially if you have chosen to work together as husband and wife. Today, we are unpacking some of the myths around being a husband and wife team and looking at the layers of a healthy marriage through the lens of the Gottman’s Relationship Sound house. You want real insights about growing a healthy marriage?  Listen in to this episode and then choose one thing to take into your world this week.

We are Jeff and Terra Mattson, a husband and wife team who co-founded Living Wholehearted, an professional counseling and executive development firm, and Courageous Girls, an online resource helping moms walk with their daughters at every stage of her growing years. We are the hosts of the weekly Living Wholehearted Podcast and the Dear Mattsons parenting advice series on Youtube. Jeff (MA ORGL) is an Organizational Development and Leadership Coach and Terra (LPC, LMFT) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Executive Coach. As authors, speakers, and social-entrepreneurs, we have developed organizations that help leaders, like you, live and lead with integrity at work, home and in the community. We have each invested more than two decades in leadership coaching and trauma-informed therapy and have helped national organizations and churches navigate many difficult leadership crises from the ground up. Our professional experience and research have formed a unique perspective on the relationship between leadership, integrity and trauma. As parents of two teen daughters and twenty-plus years of marriage, we have skin in the game! Between our speaking, publishing, executive coaching, managing our team, our business and non-profit, we get what it’s like to juggle the many aspects of a complex life!

We hope Terra’s book, Courageous: Being Daughters Rooted in Grace, and our co-authored book, Shrinking the Integrity Gap: Between What Leaders Preach and Live (October 2020, David C Cook), will be an evergreen resource for you as you grow in bringing all of who you are before God and others. If you are a mom of daughters, make sure you visit mycourageousgirls.com to start your Courageous Girls group or cpguides.org to get the Helping Moms Raise Confident Daughters Courses produced by Christian Parenting. If you are a leader looking for resources, go to livingwholehearted.com for all kinds of holistic ways to meet your needs.
