This is a great interview I did recently with Deborah Connors, author of A Better Place to Work. She’s an expert in wellness at work. In many organizations and businesses, the culture is one of crises and overload, and work is about surviving versus thriving. It doesn’t have to be that way. Deborah teaches leaders to radically shift culture so that people can flourish. She is the founder of The Better Workplace Conference, now run by the Conference Board of Canada and in its 22nd year.

She recently released “A Better Place To Work: Daily Practices That Transform Culture,” a book full of stories of transformative workplace change. It is a synthesis of advice from business and organizational health experts which provides over 50 daily practices that support creativity, innovation and proactivity at work.

Deborah is a captivating speaker, storyteller, author and workplace coach. She facilitates the online “8-Weeks To A Better Place To Work” course which follows the chapters of her newly released book and helps people in adapting the practices to meet the needs in their own workplaces. She runs leadership retreats, team workshops and speaks nationally and internationally with the core belief that work can BE POSITIVE and that this benefits both the organization and the people who work there.
