Tarryn chats to Jean Lee about pursuing her Ph.D. thesis in interrogating black women identity through self-reflection. Jean takes us into her life and what she's learnt as an activist during and post the Struggle. They explore the importance of learning by telling our stories.

From having an extremely difficult childhood to being exiled from South Africa to triumphantly bringing back the meaning of heritage for all South Africans - Patric unveils a snippet of his life for us to share in and learn from.  They also discuss his long-awaited book, The Lie of 1652 - A Decolonised History of Land. With over 600 citations, Patric lays out what to expect from his extensive research, told from the perspective of a descendent of South Africas enslaved people.
