Why does the living complain about being alive‪?‬ Iris Jaingue

This free-verse poem is based on the story of Fil. His parents were separated when he was only 6. He yearned for his father's touch and love but ever since his father left, he never heard anything from him. Fil shared his sadness about an encounter with other people in the community, in which they have their fathers by their side. Fil felt left out and is forced to accept the fact that he wouldn't see him again. But, deep in his heart, he still waits for him to return. He believes that he is a lost boy looking for his father's arms. An undying love towards a father that was never there.
